FNG Exclusive… Following our earlier FNG Exclusive report that Will Robbins had left his position as Head of Asia for London based Prime-of-Prime broker iS Prime, FNG has learned that Will has now joined Canada based brokerage and wealth management firm Velocity Trade.
Will Robbins will be based in Australia for his new role with Velocity Trade, with the title of Director. He will be focused on building out the multi-asset offering for the Group in the Asia region, and will assist in the recently launched business based in Singapore.
Will had been with iS Prime since 2017 before departing earlier this year, heading iS Prime’s Hong Kong office and overseeing their Asia operations. His departure came soon after iS Prime shook up its C-Suite at headquarters in London, with co-founders Raj Sitlani and Jonathan Brewer exiting the business.
Spencer Davey, Velocity Trade Managing Director for Asia Pacific said,
“We are very pleased to welcome Will to the Velocity Trade team in the region. He has exceptional pedigree in growing a business in Asia and he will be a real asset for the group across multiple business lines.”
Will Robbins adds,
“I am thrilled to be joining Velocity Trade, industry leaders in multi-asset brokerage and execution services. I am looking forward to working with an experienced global team at such an exciting time in the group’s development. The quality and breadth of products offered, along with the excellent technical support, will enable us to provide a comprehensive service to our growing client base in the Asia region.”
