FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that Cyprus based Spotware Systems, the maker of popular multi-asset trading platform cTrader, has made some management changes at the top.
Spotware founder and longtime CEO Andrey Pavlov has decided to take a step back from day-to-day management of the company. Andrey has now transitioned to the role of Chairman, still involved but with less operational and strategic responsibility at Spotware.
Replacing Andrey Pavlov as CEO is Ilia Iarovitcyn. Ilia has been at Spotware for seven years, acting as Product Manager. Interestingly, he doesn’t appear on Spotware’s current Leadership: Key Personnel website page, having had a very internal role to date – perhaps indicative of Spotware’s longtime focus on product.
Prior to joining Spotware in 2017 Ilia worked for Retail FX/CFDs broker MFX Broker for six years, acting as Head of the Technical Development Department and as Chief Dealer of MFX.
cTrader is the #2 trading platform (market-share wise) in the FX and CFD brokerage world, behind rival MetaQuotes and its MT4/MT5 platform. However Spotware and cTrader have been gaining traction over the past several years, with cTrader becoming more popular among professional and more “serious” retail traders. The platform has also been added by a number of FX/CFD brokers as an alternative to MT4/MT5, after MT4 and MT5 were removed from the Apple App Store last year (although MetaQuotes saw its apps restored in March 2023).
