Hargreaves Lansdown plc today announced the appointment of Michael Morley to the Group Board of HL plc as an independent Non-executive Director with effect from 01 August 2023.
Mr Morley will join the Board’s Remuneration and Risk Committees from the same date.
Michael Morley brings extensive financial services and risk expertise, strategic thinking, governance and regulatory experience combined with strong leadership skills. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Deutsche Bank SAEU in Spain and Deutsche Bank (Suisse) SA in Switzerland. Previously he has held a number of executive roles including as CEO UK Wealth Management for Deutsche Bank, CEO Coutts & Co, and CEO Singer & Friedlander Investment Management Ltd, as well as senior roles at Barclays Bank PLC and Merrill Lynch.
Mr Morley will seek election by HL shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 8 December 2023.
