Bharti Airtel emerged as the sole gainer on the BSE Sensex on Tuesday, while heavy losses were seen across other heavyweights amid fears of retaliatory tariffs by former US President Donald Trump.
The BSE Sensex plunged 1,018.20 points or 1.32 per cent to close at 76,293.60, while the NSE Nifty fell 309.80 points or 1.32 per cent to end at 23,071.80, marking their fifth straight session of decline.

Bharti Airtel was the only stock in the green, rising marginally by 0.19 per cent to close at ₹1,696.00.
Top Losers
Zomato led the decline, tumbling 5.24 per cent to ₹215.25. Tata Steel shares dropped 2.91 per cent to end at ₹130.10.
Bajaj Finserv fell 2.70 per cent to close at ₹1,744.50, while Power Grid Corporation slipped 2.68 per cent to ₹261.50. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) completed the top five losers, declining 2.65 per cent to finish at ₹3,240.25.
The market witnessed its steepest single-day fall in three weeks, with selling pressure intensifying in the afternoon session as both indices touched their intraday lows amid widespread selling across sectors.
