India is one of Verint’s top five global markets, with the company serving major enterprises, including 8 of the top 10 financial institutions and BPOs in the country. Its Bengaluru GIC is a global powerhouse, developing AI technologies supporting over 10,000 customers worldwide, shared Rob Scudiere, the company’s chief technology officer.

“The innovation from the GIC here is fundamental to the overall Verint Open Platform and the AI-driven business outcomes we are delivering. The Bengaluru team is not developing India-specific technology; everything built here is part of our core platform, delivering value to our customers globally. Some of the innovations developed here are core to the platform, and we expect this center to continue driving high-impact innovations. Our goal is for the team here to own key components of the platform end-to-end, ensuring they have accountability, ownership, and direct impact on our customer base,” the CTO explained.

Verint’s started operations in the Bangalore GIC in 2019. In February this year, the company announced its plans to expand the GIC to around 1,000 employees by the end of 2026. This recruitment drive will focus on attracting talent for AI, data science, and research roles.

Regarding this expansion, Ajay Dawar, Global Innovation Center Head, Verint, said, “The focus is mainly on CX automation initiatives to drive AI-powered business outcomes for our customers globally. We are making a global impact by collaborating with our innovation centers across the world. This center brings expertise in engineering, customer experience, customer care, and services. By bringing these elements together, we are driving innovation across various functions, both big and small. That’s how we are contributing to our global strategy.”

The Bangalore GIC is the company’s sole innovation centre globally, with no plans to establish additional locations. “This is our first and largest GIC, and it plays a significant role in shaping the future of our technology and solutions,” Dawar added.

Globally, the company caters to enterprises across manufacturing, finance, insurance, healthcare, retail, telecom, utilities, and government sectors. Some of Verint’s India-based customers include Tech Mahindra and Bank of Baroda.

“There’s no limitation—any business that interacts with customers benefits from CX automation,” shared Dawar.
