Swiggy Instamart announced today its expansion to 100 cities across India, adding 32 new locations in 2025 with recent launches in Raipur, Siliguri, Jodhpur, and Thanjavur. The quick commerce platform is responding to growing demand beyond metropolitan areas, with one in four new users now coming from tier 2 and 3 cities.
The shares of Swiggy Limited were trading at ₹3354.50 up by ₹1.30 or 0.37 per cent on the NSE today at 2.05 pm.

To support this expansion, Swiggy is introducing “megapods” – larger dark stores spanning 10,000 to 12,000 square feet that can house up to 50,000 SKUs, tripling the product range of standard dark stores. These facilities will stock both national and local brands tailored to regional preferences.
“We have noted significant traction for convenience-led retail much beyond Indian metros,” said Amitesh Jha, CEO of Swiggy Instamart, citing changing consumer behavior as driving quick commerce adoption in smaller markets.
The company reports strong initial performance in new territories, with Patna becoming the fastest city to reach 1,000+ daily orders (achieved in four days) and Raipur setting a record with 300 orders on launch day.
