Aequs Private Limited has announced a joint venture with Brazilian homeware products company Tramontina to manufacture cookware and other consumer products for customers in India and global markets. The joint venture involves an investment of up to ₹80 crore.
Under this partnership, Aequs will manufacture cookware at its Hubballi Durable Goods Cluster (HDC) facility. This will be Tramontina’s only manufacturing unit outside the Americas, marking a significant milestone for the Brazil-based homeware conglomerate.
Commenting on the JV, Aravind Melligeri, Chairman, and CEO of Aequs, said, “The growing global demand for premium cookware presents a tremendous opportunity, and this partnership positions us to serve both domestic and international markets.”
Tramontina entered India last year with an omnichannel retail strategy, leveraging general commerce, modern retail, and e-commerce platforms to expand its product distribution across the country.
