Altair and L&T Technology Services announced today the establishment of a 5G-6G Wireless Centre of Excellence (CoE) to tackle industry challenges in connectivity and accelerate innovation across sectors.

The shares of L&T Technology Services at ₹5,082 down by ₹26.20 or 0.51 per cent on the NSE today at 11.30 am.

The centre will combine Altair’s simulation and design tools with LTTS’s product development expertise to develop solutions for telecommunications, automotive, manufacturing, and healthcare industries. Key focus areas include 5G/6G network planning, RF design development, and wireless connectivity enhancements for smart factories and connected vehicles.

The collaboration comes as LTTS, which reported a workforce of 23,460 employees across 22 global design centres as of December 2024, received Altair’s Partner of the Year Award for 2025. The centre will utilise Altair’s HyperWorks and RapidMiner platforms to power its initiatives.

“5G and 6G technologies are reshaping the way industries operate, innovate, and deliver value,” said Stephanie Buckner, chief operating officer at Altair. Alind Saxena, Executive Director & President, Mobility & Tech at LTTS, added that the partnership marks a “transformative leap in wireless innovation.”

The centre will also provide hands-on training and workshops to help industries implement wireless technologies for their specific needs.
