Andhra Pradesh government has appointed Suchitra Ella, Co-founder and Managing Director, Bharat Biotech International, as honorary advisor with Cabinet rank for a period of two years for strengthening and developing the handloom and handicrafts sectors along with three others for different sectors.
While providing guidance on strengthening and developing the handloom and handicrafts sectors, Suchitra Ella will expand the market opportunities, attract domestic and global investments, support the artisans, cooperative societies, and MSMEs. She will also suggest programs for the upliftment of women artisans, according to a government release.
Along with Ella, Sreedhara Panicker Somnath, G. Satheesh Reddy and K.P.C. Gandhi were also appointed as honorary advisors to the State government in Cabinet rank for space technology, aerospace & defence manufacturing and forensic science sectors respectively for a period of two years.
