BSE Limited announced on February 20, 2025, that Sameer Patil has resigned from his position as Chief of Special Projects, a Key Management Personnel role. According to the regulatory filing made to the National Stock Exchange, Patil cited health reasons for his immediate resignation.
Following this announcement, BSE shares fell 2.64 per cent to ₹5,802 on the NSE as of 12.15 pm today, representing a decline of ₹157.15.
The stock exchange stated that Patil will serve his notice period with his last working day scheduled for May 21, 2025. In his resignation letter, Patil committed to ensuring a smooth transition of his responsibilities during the notice period.
“I will ensure a smooth transition of my roles and responsibilities, completing any outstanding tasks and assisting in the handover of my duties,” Patil wrote in his resignation letter addressed to BSE Managing Director & CEO Sundararaman Ramamurthy.
