Correction: January temperature

January ranked as the third biggest monthly anomaly above pre-industrial temperature levels, with a surface air temperature of 13.23C, or 1.75C above the 1850-1900 average for the first month of the year, according to the Copernicus Climate Change service. An article on February 7 wrongly stated that January ranked as the third-hottest month.
