Exclusive: Zenfinex hires Equiti exec Amer Zino as Head of Sales MENA

FNG Exclusive… FNG has learned that London and Dubai based Retail FX and CFDs broker Zenfinex has hired Amer Zino as Head of Sales MENA. Amer will be responsible for handling all commercial and business development operations for Zenfinex in the MENA region.

The hiring of Amer Zino effectively replaces the role of former Zenfinex MENA CEO Michel Chabbouh, who stepped down from his position earlier this year, as was also exclusively reported by FNG. However since Zenfinex founder Nick Cooke is now based in Dubai, the strategic decision was made not to hire a new CEO for MENA but rather to hire a Head for Sales and Business Development for the region.

Amer Zino brings over 12 years of experience in leading sales and business development initiatives for Financial Service providers like Axi and Alpari UK across the Middle East and the GCC region. Most recently Amer Zino spent the past six years in senior sales positions with Equiti Group. His hiring comes after Zenfinex acquired the DFSA Category 4 license from Dubai Financial Service Authority, back in November 2022.

Zenfinex Founder Nick Cooke said:

“We are very excited to have Amer join the team with his primary focus being on heading up sales and business development in the MENA region. He has fantastic experience and knowledge of the region that can only help us build on the solid foundations we have already built. We are optimistic about the potential that the MENA region holds for financial services providers, and we are dedicated to providing resource for continuous growth.”

Amer Zino, Head of Sales for MENA Region added:

“I am thrilled to join the Zenfinex team. It is evident that Zenfinex is working very hard to expand its professional and institutional offerings across the MENA region. I look forward to this journey and to building on Zenfinex’ commitment to consistency and to prioritizing the needs of our traders.”

Zenfinex was established in 2017 in the UK, and received FCA authorization in March 2019. The company also operates a licensed operation in Dubai DFSA and offshore operations in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines, and in Seychelles. We had also reported exclusively in November 2021 that Zenfinex hired former Capital Index CEO Matthew Wright as its new Group CEO. Zenfinex is controlled by Oscar Hilt Tatum IV, a Saint Kitts and Nevis citizen who now resides in the UAE and runs offshore investment firm iPoint Capital Partners.
