From UAVs to pilot training solutions: Innovation gains momentum at Day 3 of Aero India

The third-day of Aero India 2025 maintained its momentum with a series of MoU signings and major announcements in the defence sector.

ADA signs MoU Godrej Enterprises

The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has signed an MoU with the aerospace division of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group, to indigenously manufacture flight control actuators for India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. Under this partnership, Godrej Enterprises Group will handle the comprehensive development of flight control actuators, including precision manufacturing, procurement of aerospace-grade raw materials, assembly, testing, and the development of test rigs for qualification tests.

Zen Technologies enters pact with TXT e-Tech

Anti-drone technology and defence training solutions provider Zen technologies has signed an MoU with TXT e-Tech and PACE, part of the TXT Group, to develop advanced pilot training solutions to develop a range of simulation solutions, from part task trainers to full flight and full mission simulators. This partnership will also help Zen Technologies expand its footprint in the aviation sector while strengthening its expertise in pilot training and simulation technologies.

Tata Elxsi ties up with Garuda Aerospace

Tata Elxsi has signed an MoU with Garuda Aerospace to developa dedicated UAV design, engineering, and certification centre for developing indigenous drone technologies. The partnership will focus on defence applications, as well as use cases in agriculture and smart cities.

Under this agreement, Tata Elxsi will lead the design, development, testing, and certification of UAV subsystems, aiming to enhance drone efficiency, reduce energy consumption and cut costs by over 20 per cent each, and accelerate development cycles by up to six months. Meanwhile, Garuda Aerospace will focus on business acquisition and delivery. The drones developed through this initiative will cater to various applications, including payload management, goods delivery, precision agriculture, and ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) missions, addressing critical operational requirements across industries.
