Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.45% By Investing.com

Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.45%, while the index added 0.08%, and the index climbed 0.42%.

The best performers of the session on the were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which rose 2.93% or 7.10 points to trade at 249.30 at the close. Meanwhile, MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) added 2.02% or 4.50 points to end at 227.60 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.89% or 0.19 points to 10.49 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Continental AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.17% or 0.80 points to trade at 67.64 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.13% or 0.44 points to end at 38.61 and E.ON SE (ETR:) was down 0.80% or 0.09 points to 11.22.

The top performers on the MDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 3.00% to 30.90, Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was up 2.70% to settle at 33.89 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.09% to close at 11.48.

The worst performers were Stabilus (ETR:) which was down 4.79% to 51.65 in late trade, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which lost 3.20% to settle at 105.95 and Scout24 AG (ETR:) which was down 3.16% to 55.10 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which rose 3.00% to 30.90, Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was up 2.63% to settle at 84.00 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.09% to close at 11.48.

The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 2.41% to 95.00 in late trade, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.45% to settle at 44.90 and Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.09% to 34.44 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 327 to 318 and 100 ended unchanged.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.23% to 17.68.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.09% or 1.75 to $1,930.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.96% or 0.71 to hit $73.15 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.84% or 0.66 to trade at $77.81 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 101.73.
