Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.69%, while the index climbed 0.74%, and the index gained 0.05%.

The best performers of the session on the were Adidas AG (ETR:), which rose 5.02% or 7.78 points to trade at 162.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:) added 2.15% or 0.81 points to end at 38.54 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.84% or 0.45 points to 24.85 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which fell 5.49% or 22.50 points to trade at 387.00 at the close. Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 0.42% or 0.16 points to end at 37.68 and Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) was down 0.38% or 0.20 points to 52.92.

The top performers on the MDAX were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which rose 4.58% to 21.91, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.42% to settle at 63.28 and Rational AG (ETR:) which gained 3.18% to close at 617.00.

The worst performers were Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was down 11.16% to 1.31 in late trade, Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:) which lost 7.90% to settle at 32.16 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which was down 1.94% to 31.32 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 4.42% to 63.28, Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.24% to settle at 31.50 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which gained 2.54% to close at 98.95.

The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was down 5.49% to 387.00 in late trade, Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 4.81% to settle at 41.56 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.56% to 14.65 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 432 to 241 and 80 ended unchanged.

Shares in Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) fell to all time lows; down 11.16% or 0.17 to 1.31. Shares in SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.54% or 2.45 to 98.95.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.36% to 18.86.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.25% or 5.05 to $1,992.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.34% or 1.00 to hit $75.37 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.22% or 0.96 to trade at $79.56 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 102.15.
