Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 1.47%, while the index added 2.32%, and the index climbed 1.79%.
The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 10.51% or 2.71 points to trade at 28.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Vonovia SE (ETR:) added 4.97% or 0.92 points to end at 19.32 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 3.16% or 1.15 points to 37.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:), which fell 0.36% or 0.03 points to trade at 9.44 at the close. Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:) added 0.26% or 0.30 points to end at 116.05 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:) was up 0.27% or 0.14 points to 49.95.
The top performers on the MDAX were LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 5.99% to 58.02, Sixt SE (ETR:) which was up 5.58% to settle at 111.70 and Rational AG (ETR:) which gained 4.77% to close at 658.50.
The worst performers were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was down 2.12% to 104.10 in late trade, Befesa SA (ETR:) which lost 1.39% to settle at 34.06 and K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 0.90% to 16.59 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Siltronic AG (ETR:) which rose 5.93% to 70.60, United Internet AG NA (ETR:) which was up 5.89% to settle at 13.30 and Aixtron SE (ETR:) which gained 4.07% to close at 29.44.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.21% to 27.13 in late trade, Software AG (ETR:) which gained 0.06% to settle at 31.60 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was up 0.11% to 94.15 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 473 to 172 and 97 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 7.86% to 15.35.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.33% or 25.70 to $1,962.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.02% or 0.76 to hit $75.59 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.69% or 0.55 to trade at $79.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.11% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP rose 0.65% to 0.86.
