India beat Pakistan by six wickets in a Group A match of the Champions Trophy at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Electing to bat, Pakistan made 241 before being all out with two deliveries left in their stop-start innings.

Saud Shakeel (62) and Mohammad Rizwan (46) scored the bulk of the runs for Pakistan while spinner Kuldeep Yadav claimed 3-40.

Virat Kohli anchored a tricky chase with an unbeaten 100 while Shreyas Iyer made 56 as India registered their second successive victory of the tournament with 7.3 overs to spare.

Skipper Rohit Sharma (20 off 15) too played a few audacious strokes before falling to a beauty from Shaheen Afridi.

With two wins in as many games, India are all but through to the semifinals. Pakistan, on the other hand, are on the brink of elimination after losing their first two group games.

Virat Kohli completed 14,000 runs in ODI cricket, becoming only the third cricketer to do so.

The 36-year-old Indian legend reached this milestone during the ICC Champions Trophy match against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

During the match, Virat raced to his 23rd fifty in ICC ODI events, tying with legendary Sachin Tendulkar. However, one of the most special moments of the match came in the 13th over bowled by Haris Rauf when he hit a brilliant drive to the left of mid-off for a four, completing his 14,000 ODI runs.

He is the third batter after Sachin Tendulkar (18,426 runs in 463 ODIs) and Kumar Sangakkara (14,234 runs in 404 matches) to reach the milestone.
