India’s Tech Industry: Revenue seen rising to $300 bn in FY26

Tech industry revenues are seen rising to $300 billion in FY26, according to estimates by industry body Nasscom, with global capability centres being (GCCs) one of the growth factors. 

For the current fiscal year, the IT industry is seen ending with revenues of $282.6 billion, up 5.1 per cent on the year, with sub sectors such as engineering R&D and GCCs having emerged as growth hotspots.

The current year’s revenue breakup sees $137.1 billion being contributed by IT services, business process management at $54.6 billion and engineering R&D at $55.7 billion. 

Domestic revenues are seen growing at over 7 per cent on a lower base 

The net hiring in the current year is seen at 126,000 with the total head count reaching 5.8 million.
