Interactive Brokers plans enhancements to News & Research in mobile app

Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers plans enhancements to the IBKR Mobile app.

Re-imagined News & Research lets you filter by news type, follow feeds, save Advanced Search as a personal news feed, tag to “read later” and more so you can see what you want.

The broker has implemented navigation improvements in the app, including a cleaned-up Settings menu with screen-specific settings moved to the relevant screens menu. You can now reorganize tabs on Portfolio, and access Quote Details from Trade Details.

The developers will be making more improvements to the navigation in the coming months to make features more accessible.

Recent enhancements to the app include a Recurring Investments tool to set up and execute a predetermined investment strategy by automatically investing funds on a recurring schedule.

Traders can select from almost any US and European shares, choose a start date, and then select whether they want to invest on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. On the start date, the trade will execute soon after the market opens and then repeats according to one’s predefined schedule.

Recurring Investments uses fractional shares trading to help traders get more for their money. With fractional trading, traders can divide their investments among more US or EU stocks and put small balances to work.
