JPX Market & Innovation, Inc. (JPXI) today officially released J-Quants API (paid version).
J-Quants API is a service for individuals, which distributes financial data such as historical stock prices and corporate financial information through API. Users will be able to obtain financial data in a format that has made it easy to conduct analysis.
With the recent advancements in tools and environments for data analysis, the gap is narrowing between data analysis conducted by professionals and individuals. These analysis techniques are also being widely used for stock investment analysis.
On the other hand, retail investors had difficulty obtaining financial data that is easy to analyze. Therefore, since last July, JPXI has provided financial data to individuals through the J-Quants API (beta version). The service has been appreciated by many users who commented that the data was useful for investment analysis.
In the beta version, JPXI received a lot of feedback from users on how to improve the service and added new features to the J-Quants API based on this feedback. In the paid version, JPXI has added datasets that were highly requested by users.
JPXI commented:
“We hope that users will be freed from time-consuming tasks such as collecting and compiling data and use their time for investment analysis through this service”.
