Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS), the largest labour contracting co-operative in Kerala, has chalked out expansion plans by making its presence in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations.

With the expansion to neighbouring states, Rameshan Paleri, Chairman of ULCCS told reporters that the company is targeting projects worth ₹2,000 crore from public infrastructure, commercial and industrial sectors. It has also unveiled a dedicated venture – U-Sphere – offering futuristic, high-tech and eco-friendly building construction solutions with a focus on advanced, pre-engineered and precision-built structures which are faster than conventional construction.

ULCCS seeks to replicate its successful Kerala model through U-Sphere in these new regions, he said. Leveraging its expertise in smart infrastructure, the new venture will integrate AI-driven analytics, IoT-enabled monitoring and digital project management to enhance efficiency, improve speed of construction and optimize resource utilisation, he said adding that the news vertical plans to add 1000 employees over the next five years.

ULCCS has been at the forefront of Kerala’s infrastructure for over a century, delivering 8,000+ projects—from buildings, roads and bridges to IT parks. “With U-Sphere, we take this legacy forward into a new era of smart, sustainable and high-tech construction,” he said.

The company has clocked a turnover of ₹2500 crore and is looking at a 10-15 per cent growth with its expansion plans to neighbouring states, he said.
