Letter: A divine intervention

Regarding your interview with Mathias Döpfner, chief executive of Axel Springer (“Media magnate hits at Europe’s ‘whiny’ response to Vance”, Interview, FT Weekend, February 22), I don’t know which divine entity we owe this good fortune to.

But let me say to whoever was behind it: thank goodness Axel Springer did not acquire the Financial Times!
