It is commendable to see Professor Rachel Isba (“Hazy topic: clinic designs help for child vape addicts”, Report, March 12) leading a project to support young people struggling with vaping addiction, despite acknowledging that “we don’t really know what we should do to support children as there is no evidence base”.

According to “Six Stages of Social Innovation” (Murray et al, 2010), this pilot, if successful, could progress, then scale, and ultimately be implemented, benefiting not only affected children but also stakeholders globally. I wish her every success in this vital endeavour.
