L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has implemented an AI-powered Integrated Command & Control Center (ICCC) at Maha Kumbh 2025, facilitating the management of over 660 million pilgrims at what is described as the planet’s largest human gathering.
The 24/7 command center in Prayagraj, backed by a disaster recovery hub in Bangalore, utilized artificial intelligence, IoT, and real-time analytics to monitor crowd density, prevent congestion, and manage potential hazards.
The system featured 2,700+ surveillance cameras, a dedicated helpline, and AI-based waste detection and traffic control. Variable message displays and mobile updates provided real-time information to guide attendees efficiently.
Abhishek Sinha, Executive Director and President at LTTS, stated that the company has “set a new benchmark in leveraging cutting-edge solutions for convenience and efficiency” at the event.
LTTS, a listed subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, provides engineering and technology services across various sectors including mobility, sustainability, and tech. The company reports having over 23,460 employees across 22 global design centers as of December 31, 2024.
According to the company, LTTS now plans to expand its Smart World capabilities to global markets including the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
