Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has been ranked in eight narrow subjects and one broad subject in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject in 2025.
In the latest rankings, MAHE has been recognised in key subject areas, including life sciences, chemistry, biological sciences, computer science and information systems, dentistry, chemical engineering, medicine, pharmacy and pharmacology, and economics and econometrics.
In the rankings among the broad subjects, life sciences have improved from last year’s rank of 317 to 293 this year.
As compared to the previous year’s ranking, two narrow subjects made entries and have been ranked under the 400 band this year (chemical engineering, and economics and econometrics).
MD Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, said: “This achievement highlights our continued growth, with significant strides in multiple disciplines compared to previous years. Our consistent presence in global rankings is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, students, and researchers, who work tirelessly to push the boundaries of knowledge.”
This year’s expansion into new subject areas and improvements in ranking demonstrate MAHE’s upward trajectory on the global stage. These accolades reinforce MAHE’s commitment to fostering a world-class learning environment, driving pioneering research, and contributing to society through transformative education, he added.
