Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) on Tuesday said it has begun commercial production at its Kharkhoda facility in Haryana.
To begin with, the Kharkhoda facility will have an annual production capacity of 2.50 lakh units and produce the compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) Brezza, the company said.

With this, MSIL, including Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited, the wholly owned subsidiary of Maruti Suzuki, will have a total annual production capability of 26 lakh units.
MSIL is investing ₹18,000 crore in the Kharkhoda plant, which will have a total installed capacity of 10 lakh units in a year. The company had announced for the investment in 2022, becoming the fourth facility after Gurugram, Manesar in Haryana and Mehsana in Gujarat.

The company aims for a total production capacity of 40 lakh units per annum out of these four plants by FY 2031.
