MBL ties up with Agappe to transfer technology for protein estimation in blood

Protein estimation tests, which is fully import dependent till date, can be carried out here thanks to the technology transfer by the Japan based Medical and Biological Laboratories to Agappe Diagnostics in Kochi.

Through specific protein test estimation many diseases or disorders of human body like kidney diseases, sepsis, Infertility and diabetes can be detected. The technology transfer ensures a seamless supply chain while maintaining global standards in reagent manufacturing, Agappe officials said.  

The partnership marks a major milestone in the field of diagnostic reagent production, strengthening Agappe’s position as a key player in the Indian healthcare sector to manufacture these reagents for the first time in India.

Agappe Diagnostics Ltd., a leading Indian manufacturer of diagnostic reagents and equipment, serves over 70,000 customers across 90 countries. By leveraging MBL’s technical expertise and innovation in diagnostics, Agappe aims to expand its footprint in the specific protein testing sector and reach new markets, particularly in Africa, said Thomas John, Managing Director of Agappe Diagnostics Ltd.
