Miltenyi Biotec sets up cell and gene therapy CoE excellence in Hyderabad

Germany-based Miltenyi Biotec, a provider of cell and gene therapy (CGT) solutions, opened a dedicated cell & gene therapy centre-of-excellence (CoE) in the Genome Valley here. 

The MITC (Miltenyi innovation and technology centre) is designed to advance cell and gene therapy development by foster innovation by integrating expertise, best practices, and cutting-edge technologies to combat diseases, including cancer. 

Telangana IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu who inaugurated the facility said: “The inauguration of MITC showcases Telangana’s growing role as a hub for life sciences research and innovation. This facility strengthens our healthcare ecosystem and supports our vision of making Telangana a global leader in advanced biotechnology and healthcare solutions, particularly in cell and gene therapies.”

This centre reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing medical research and offering robust solutions in cell and gene therapy.’‘ Toon Overstijns, Managing Director, Miltenyi Biomedicine, Member of the Board, Miltenyi Biotec said in a release.
