After half a year of beta testing, Reliance Jio has launched India’s first indigenously developed Smart TV operating system JioTele OS on Tuesday.
Smart TVs powered by JioTele OS will be available from February 21, 2025, starting with Thomson, Kodak, BPL and JVC, with more brands set to join the lineup in 2025.

JioTele OS provides AI-powered content recommendations for global and regional content, lag-free 4K performance and access to a vast library of TV channels, cloud games and OTT apps, while also allowing switching between TV channels and content.
‘With approximately 35 million connected TV households in India, the demand for digital entertainment continues to rise. However, many consumers encounter challenges due to the limited capabilities of their connected TVs, such as restricted customization, limited access to high-quality regional content and the absence of seamless, premium user experience. JioTele OS caters to the needs of Indian consumers,” said Jio in a press release.
