The NDA Government will soon implement the remaining poll promises on welfare schemes, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said on Tuesday.
While speaking in the Assembly on the discussion on the motion to thank the Governor for his address to the joint session, Naidu said the Rhythu Bharosa Scheme for the farmers will be implemented soon and the farmers would get a total sum of ₹20,000 crore combining both disbursals from the Centre and the State.
Similarly, the Thalliki Vandanam scheme for the mothers will also be implemented from May this year and an unemployment allowance of ₹3,000 per month will be given to eligible youth, according to Naidu.
The State is yet to implement some of the populist welfare schemes promised before elections under the ‘Super Six’ set of programmes including free travel for women in State-run RTC buses, payment of ₹20,000 to each farmer under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, disbursal of ₹15,000 to women under the Thalliki Vandanam (for sending children to schools) scheme and an unemployment allowance of ₹3,000 for jobless youth.
The State Government was “commiited” to implement all welfare schemes promised before the elections, the Chief Minister said adding that Andhra Pradesh was the only State in the country which is disbursing ₹34,000 crore as pensions per annum.
The objective of the State Government was to achieve zero poverty and all homeless poor families would be given houses and the rural poor would be given 3 cents of land for each family over next five years, Naidu said.
As per promise, 20 lakh jobs will be created and the P-4 policy ( Public-Private-People-Partnership) will be rolled out from Udagi (Telugu New Year) for wealth creation and development of the State, the Chief Minister said.
The Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) entered into by the State government in the last 7 months had brought in about ₹6.50 lakh crore of investment with a potential to create 5 lakh new jobs.

Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party President K Pavan Kalyan said the NDA alliance partners, TDP, Jana Sena and BJP, were committed to stay united for the development of the State and expressed confidence that the alliance would be in power for next 15 years.
“The coalition governments will always have challenges but we will remain together for the sake of people and the development of the state,’‘ he added.
