TP Solar Limited (TP Solar), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL) and a subsidiary of Tata Power, running India’s largest single location solar manufacturing plant, has secured a contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) for the supply of 292.5 MWp DCR (Domestic Content Requirement) Solar Modules. The project is awarded under the CPSU Scheme Tranche-III and reinforces TP Solar’s commitment to advancing India’s renewable energy transition. The contract, valued at approximately ₹632 crore, entails the delivery of high-quality DCR modules to the designated site in Ramagiri, Andhra Pradesh.

TVS Motor Company (TVSM) has launched the TVS King Duramax Plus and TVS King Deluxe Plus three-wheelers in Mexico. Both these passenger carriers are designed like a car on three wheels, with several smart features for driver and passenger comfort, with a durable and reliable engine for a low total cost of ownership.

Coal India Ltd (CIL) has announced a standard levy of ₹300 per tonne across all mines under its subsidiary, Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL). The levy, called the ‘Singrauli Punarasthapan Charge,’ will be implemented from May 1, 2025. The move is projected to generate additional revenue of ₹3,877.50 crore and will be applied over and above the notified coal prices.

Transrail Lighting Ltd (Transtrail) on Thursday announced securing a new order worth ₹2,752 crore in the power transmission and distribution sector. With the latest win, its order book has touched the level of ₹7,400 crore, the company said in a statement.

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), a state-owned infrastructure firm, has secured a ₹135.66-crore contract from Central Railway. The project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of traction sub-stations, sectioning posts, and sub-sectioning posts along the Bhusaval-Khandwa section. The work, awarded under the EPC mode, is expected to be completed within 24 months to support railway freight targets.

Granules India has informed the exchanges that the US FDA has issued a Warning Letter to its Gagillapur facility based on its inspection conducted in August 2024. The FDA has not indicated any further escalation. The company said it will respond within the stipulated timeframe and seek a meeting with the FDA to demonstrate ongoing progress towards compliance.

HCL Technologies has secured a partnership with Children’s Minnesota, a leading US-based healthcare provider. The IT giant will help improve hospital operations, streamline service delivery, and enhance patient care using AI-driven solutions.

GE Power has received an additional contract worth ₹273.5 crore (excluding taxes) from GREENKO KA01 IREP Private Ltd. The agreement covers engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply, installation, and testing of electromechanical equipment for an extra 320 MW unit at the Saundatti pumped storage project in Karnataka’s Belagavi district.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on Thursday set aside insolvency proceedings against Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd (CDEL), which owns the Cafe Coffee Day chain. A two-member NCLAT bench of the Chennai bench comprising justices Sharad Kumar Sharma and Jatindranath Swain set aside an earlier order passed by the Bengaluru bench of the National Company Law Tribunal. Last year, the Bengaluru bench admitted the plea filed by IDBI Trusteeship Services Ltd (IDBITSL) claiming a default of ₹228.45 crore and appointed an interim resolution professional to take care of the operation of the debt-ridden company.

Blinkit, owned by Zomato, has started delivering Apple products, including MacBook Air, iPad and AirPods, within 10 minutes in select cities in India, its founder & CEO Albinder Dhindsa said on Thursday. In a post on X, he said consumers can now get MacBook Air, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, and other Apple accessories delivered in 10 minutes.

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Thursday said it has received a demand notice of ₹479.88 crore for short payment of Goods and Services Tax (GST) for 2020-21. The company has received a communication/ demand order for interest and penalty for Maharashtra on February 27 from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Mumbai, LIC said in a regulatory filing.
