Tackling AI’s GPU bottleneck: Netweb launches Skylus.ai

The toughest challenge in building Large Language Models in general and deploying AI in various applications is the availability of GPUs (Graphic Processing Units) as it requires huge volumes of computing power to process the data and provide answers.

Computer scientists have found a way to tap a GPU’s complete potential by tapping into unused capacities whenever possible. This can be achieved through ‘Composable GPUs).

Netweb Technologies, a listed Delhi-based tech solutions company, has launched Skylus.ai, a technology platform for optimised GPU resource management across multi-vendor environments.

For example, an enterprise GPU server with a few GPUs can dynamically allocate slices of these GPUs to different teams, maximising utilization and controlling costs.

Skylus.ai resource composability transforms static resource allocation into a dynamic model, allowing for the optimal provisioning of resources based on unique workload requirements. It enables flexible resource allocation, maximising GPU utilisation for AI workloads.

It supports industries such as pharmaceuticals, finance, education, automotive design, or any organisation looking to tap the full potential of AI. It also facilitates Research as a Service (ReaaS) and Innovation as a Service (IaaS), enabling seamless AI adoption across industries and use cases.

“It addresses the critical challenges faced by organisations in utilzing multi-vendor GPU and CPU resources, offering a vendor-agnostic solution that drives faster ideation, fosters collaboration, and accelerates experimentation while optimising resource utilisation and total cost of ownership.

“Whether utilising CPUs, full GPUs, or slices of multi-instance GPUs, Skylus.ai ensures seamless and efficient resource allocation,”  Sanjay Lodha, Chairman and Managing Director of Netweb Technologies India, said in a communication to the stock exchanges.

“AI workloads are expanding rapidly, creating major challenges in resource allocation, provisioning, and management. Businesses struggle with GPU wastage, inefficiencies, and infrastructure bottlenecks, slowing AI adoption and innovation. Skylus.ai addresses these pain points with an intelligent, scalable, and vendor-agnostic solution,” he said.
