Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) signed an agreement to drive end-to-end IT transformation of UPM, a global company that provides renewable and responsible solutions, to boost adoption of an AI-first operating model. The partnership further solidifies TCS’ leadership in Finland, where it has been operational for over 25 years.
TCS will deploy its AI-powered autonomous enterprise platform ignio TM to improveoperational efficiency. It will provide digital services including service desk, workspace and onsite support, business and platform application services, network and connectivity and hybrid cloud services as well as Service Integration and Management (SIAM).

Headquartered in Finland, UPM specialises in producing recyclable products that are made of responsibly sourced, renewable raw materials. It operates production facilities in 11 countries with a turnover of EUR 10.3 billion. With this partnership, UPM will move away from traditional methods of measuring the outcome of digital transformation into a more experience-based method.
