Telangana government plans to seek a court order to probe these issues as part of broader efforts to combat misinformation and uphold societal integrity.

Drawing flak over the move to auction the controversial 400 acres, the Congress Government has decided approach the courts, seeking a probe into the menace of AI-created images and videos.
At a high-level meeting held here on Saturday, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed the officials to appeal to the court, seeking an order to probe the creation of fake content using artificial intelligence to mislead society.
The meeting discussed in detail the fake videos and images created using AI, which were shared by social media influencers and politicians. “They created a controversy using fabricated videos and photos and created an impression that the Government seized the lands of Hyderabad Central University,” a Chief Minister’s Office statement said.
The officials briefed the Chief Minister about the projects developed on the lands in Survey No. 25 in Kanche Gachibowli in the last 25 years. They said some marque campuses, such as the Indian School of Business, Gachibowli, IIIT-Hyderabad, and some private buildings, were constructed based on the survey number.
“No disputes or concerns came to light during the construction of these campuses. No violation of wildlife conservation and environment were raised at that time of construction,” they pointed out.
“Fake videos and photos, created by AI, were circulated widely, triggering a national debate,” the statement said.
