About the poet
Born in London, Richard Scott published his debut, Soho, to acclaim in 2018; it was shortlisted for the TS Eliot prize, Polari first book prize and the Forward Prize for best first collection. In That Broke into Shining Crystals, Scott’s moving exploration of queerness and trauma takes a formally accomplished shape that’s rich in homage to both his predecessors and contemporaries in the world of poetry.
