amil Nadu Budget Session Today, TN Budget 2025-26 Live News Updates: The Tamil Nadu government will present its Budget for 2025-26 in the Legislative Assembly today at 9:30 a.m. Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu will table the Budget at the Assembly Hall in the Fort St. George complex. The Agriculture Budget for 2025-26 will follow tomorrow.

Key discussions may include the alleged lack of funds for Tamil Nadu in the Union Budget, concerns over the National Education Policy, and issues such as law and order, crimes against women and children, and police harassment allegations. The ruling DMK is expected to make major announcements, including a potential expansion of the Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme, as hinted by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.

The Budget session will be broadcast live at 100 locations in Chennai, including Central Railway Station, Koyambedu Bus Terminus, Marina Beach, Anna Nagar Tower Park, Besant Nagar Beach, and Tidel Park Junction. The Agriculture Budget tomorrow will also be streamed via LED screens.

    Tamil Nadu (TN) is a leader in the traditional ​leather​ sector and is now championing the growth of non-leather footwear. The State contributes 38 per cent of India’s footwear and leather products output, and about 47 per cent India’s total leather exports. The sector generates more than 2 lakh employment.
