Top gainers & top losers mid-day today 24th Frb 2025: Dr Reddy’s, M&M, Eicher Motors, Nestle, Tata Consumer shares gain, IT stocks drag

Shares of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Mahindra & Mahindra, Eicher Motors, Nestle India, and Tata Consumer Products traded among top gainers of Nifty 50 during intraday, while IT stocks dragged.

On the flip side, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Infosys, TCS, and Bharti Airtel traded among major laggards.

IT and telecom stocks pulled the market, while pharmaceutical and auto sectors showed resilience in Monday’s trading session. The broader market plunged about 1 per cent. Sensex traded 768.46 pts or 1.02 per cent lower at 74,542.60 as at 12.27 pm, while Nifty 50 slumped 230.85 pts or 1.01 per cent to 22,565.05.

Top gainers

On the gaining side, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories stock rose 1.56 per cent to ₹1169.75, with a trading volume of 13,43,977. Mahindra & Mahindra followed closely with 1.35 per cent increase to ₹2705.45.

Auto stock Eicher Motors experienced a positive momentum rising 1.03 per cent to ₹5013.4 with 2,12,358 shares traded.

In addition, FMCG stocks Nestle India and Tata Consumer Products witnessed modest gains by 0.80 per cent and 0.44 per cent to trade at ₹2,232.75 and ₹1008.45, respectively.

Top losers

On the other hand, IT stocks plummeted with Wipro declining 3.44 per cent to ₹295.8. HCL Technologies followed with a 3.17 per cent fall to ₹1,646.8. Shares of Infosys and TCS dropped 2.99 per cent and 2.27 per cent to ₹1,760.75 and ₹3,700.15, respectively. Telecom stock Bharti Airtel declined 2.19 per cent to ₹1,603.4.

On the BSE, shares of Neuland Laboratories, Pfizer, Vesuvius India, JSW Holdings, and Orchid Pharma soared, while Vijaya Diagnostic Centre, Religare, Gokex, and Lloyds Engineering Works depreciated.
