This new program will replace the existing EB-5 immigrant investor visa. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick explained that applicants will undergo vetting to ensure they are “world-class global citizens.” Sales of the gold cards will begin in two weeks, and Trump suggested millions could be sold.
