The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has joined forces with Sarvam AI, a Bengaluru-based full-stack GenAI company, to improve the user experience of Aadhaar services. The partnership is initially set for one year, with the possibility of an extension for another year.
As part of this partnership, Sarvam AI will deploy its voice-based AI solution across ten languages, enabling real-time interactions with Aadhaar number holders. The AI system will gather feedback on enrollment and update processes, including identifying instances of overcharging by service providers. Additionally, the agreement will provide real-time fraud alerts to Aadhaar number holders if any suspicious activity is detected during authentication requests.
Data privacy
The agreement between UIDAI and Sarvam ensures that no data will leave UIDAI’s environment at any stage of operation.
