Quick commerce major Zepto’s 10-minute food delivery service, Zepto Café has hit 100,000 orders per day, noted Aadit Palicha, CEO.
“Zepto Café has hit 100,000 orders per day. That’s closing in on a $100 million annualised GMV (gross merchandise value) run-rate with an approximately 50 per cent steady-state GM (gross margin),” Palicha said in a post on X.
This comes just two weeks after the company reported having hit 75,000 daily orders. Previously, Palicha had posted on X that the platform was launching over 100 new cafés each month and had already been clocking over 30,000 orders per day.
“It has not been easy to get this business off the ground – the execution is highly complex and there were multiple do-or-die challenges along the way (many of which are still work in progress). Still, our team stuck to its guns because the customer love and long-term compounding retention we were seeing was worth it,” he added.
Zepto reported operating revenue of ₹4,454 crore in fiscal 2024, a 120 per cent jump from FY23 in a year that saw rapid growth for the 10-minute grocery delivery space.
The 10-mintue food delivery space is heating up with Zomato’s Blinkit launching Bistro, Swiggy’s its 10-minute food delivery offering under Bolt, which is being scaled rapidly. Similarly, Bengaluru-based 10-minute food delivery startup Swish, which recently raised $2 million.
